To Begin Again

To begin again, to return again without a mantle of guilt for having veered away is a skill I shall cherish. The path before me is windy with obstructions to my destination. I can’t see forward all the way, but I can see squirrels in the ticket, birds hovering above tree branches, and perfect light beaming through to a forest alcove I must visit. There are sights on the way that I want to see and they are sights I will see even if it means a small detour. I’ll get to my destination eventually. We’re all just passing time.
